
Boise, ID (CBS2) — February 8, 2023, a call came in around 10 AM to the Moscow Police Department from someone threatening to commit a shooting at Moscow High School.
Latah county Sheriff's office set up a perimeter, while Moscow Police cleared the building looking for active threats. Police found no one was injured and that there were no threats in the building.
Other schools in the district and city were alerted to the threat. Police say that there does not seem to be a credible, active threat to any of the schools.
Moscow School District did resume classes for the remainder of the day but kept students inside. Parents have been directed to contact their child's school with any questions regarding student pick-up.
During the preliminary investigation into the threat, Police believe the phone call came from outside the State of Idaho. Police are continuing to investigate this case and more updates will be provided when possible.
