Ada County paramedics show challenges of wearing full protective equipment

Ada County Paramedics on Monday invited elected officials to experience what it's like to wear full protective equipment.

Not only did they wear masks, gowns and eye protection, they also performed paramedic tasks.

"Really to get that experience of what it feels like to wear that PPE, it's very restricting, it's hot, your Goggles fog up while you're trying to do tasks, just to give them an understanding of what it's been like for the last 18 months to be a paramedic or EMT," said chief Shawn Rayne.

The chief said they appreciate the support of the community and elected officials during this challenging time.
