Happy new year! I hope everyone had a nice holiday season :)
Last year (in December) I ordered item/1944675 . I had been waiting for him to release since Yugi Muto is one of my favourite characters and we never get figures of him. So, when he released I began searching for somewhere to buy him from.
I bought my Yugi from an ebay seller for a grand total of £27. This worked out cheaper than using a proxy like Buyee since I didn’t have any other items I wanted to order at that time.
Yugi is currently available on YJA for anywhere from around 500 yen starting bid and up. So you’d think it would have been cheaper for me to get him there, but alas Buyee’s postage costs are pretty rough if you’re just ordering one item to the UK.
Anyway, the figure is really cute and I’m very happy with him! He is a bit rough around the edges, I think they could have painted the studs on his belts and shoes but otherwise he looks great. Still, I can’t say he’s worth a full £27 (even though probably £15 of that was postage), maybe £15 at most… I might order a second one to repaint later, but that’d be with a bulk proxy order to make it worth it! Regardless, I’m happy I got him and really do love the figure! (≧∇≦)
For Christmas I received item/1523487 and 2 nendoroids! item/822762 from my mum and item/549399 from my Boyfriend brydon_the_epic (one day I’ll convince him to decorate his profile lol).
Brydon had actually tried to get me a Conan nendoroid before, he ordered one for my birthday in September but it turned out to be a bootleg! (≧﹏ ≦) Fortunately he got his money back as the seller was very reasonable. I actually ended up doing a bootleg vs legit comparison video: www.youtube.com... After filming that, I gave bootleg Conan to my mum as she’s a fan of the show too! (We watch it together ^-^) I’m happy to have the legit Conan now! :D
I also received some money for Christmas and decided to buy myself a figure I’d had my eye on for a while: item/114739 He was on Solaris Japan pre-owned for a whopping… £43. That’s pretty damn cheap! Now, as of writing this I’m currently waiting for him to arrive. The site said that the figure was 5 star quality (if I remember correctly, maybe it was 4.5? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) with the box being slightly less good. I’m very curious to see exactly why he was only £43. So I suppose we will see when he gets here!
I also saw item/635443 on there for a super good price so decided to throw her in the parcel as well (only to have Solaris email me asking for an extra 1000 yen for postage a few days later because the box was bigger than expected (>Д<))

Ok, question number 1: What is a £43 pre-owned scale like?
The answer - Perfect! There’s no damage (aside from a slight paint scuff on the coat but it’s negligible) and his box has the slightest bit of wear. He doesn’t smell of cigarette smoke either. Anyone have any ideas why he was so cheap?
I’m displaying this Yami Yugi without his duel disk and coat since my other Yugi scale has those accessories on. I’m happy to have both Kotobukiya Yugi scales now! (*^▽^*) I do however need to re-shuffle my shelves to fit him in (ˉ▽ˉ；)...
As for Hinata, she’s great! I feel that she could have used some accessories to hold, maybe a water bottle or something? But she comes with a good amount of parts! The extra torso is cool, I wish they’d included a second bent arm for the coat though. I love the mountain terrain base!
But the best thing about this nendoroid?
She can do the Family Guy death pose meme! xD
I’m definitely thinking of slowing down my purchasing, mostly due to lack of space but I am currently looking to buy a house so I’ll have to keep myself in check once I have more space to make sure I don’t over-clutter my home.
